Iain Grandage returns to UKARIA to curate a new four-part series that features wordsmiths and songsmiths, performers and poets, all collaborating with exquisite musicians of the highest order. These contemporary weavers of story and song will bring all-new creations into the hall at UKARIA, singing stories of human connection and joy.
‘Loren Kate is extraordinary – she brings warmth, tenderness and compassion to the world through her presence in both the performing and recording arenas. Her voice makes me weep with its direct and pure sincerity. Her songs contain a distilled spirituality and honesty that touch many, with exquisitely shaped melodies, glowing harmonic movement and lyrics resonant with deep poetic meaning. Loren Kate will melt hearts when she embarks on this collaboration with the much-loved Adelaide choir Aurora, directed by Christie Anderson.
Featuring a selection of Loren Kate’s own award-winning songs specially arranged for Loren, choir and cello, this concert will also feature a series of beautiful choral works that reflect the internal and external landscapes of our lives. A tender, euphoric concert that’s not to be missed.’
