A diverse and talented ensemble, Aurora performs a range of repertoire from early music to contemporary pop and they are committed to performing contemporary Australian music.

The third star of the show on opening night. Superb in its harmony, balance and purity of voice  (State Theatre Company of SA, The Events Adelaide International Festival of Arts 2016)

Aurora have sung everywhere from onstage with the Rolling Stones at the Adelaide Oval to the orchestral pit for the Australian Ballet, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

Other highlights have included representing Australia in Canada; collaborating with the Ngarrinjeri Miminar Kaikulun Choir from Murray Bridge for the Anniversary of the Apology to the Stolen Generation; touring with Country Arts SA and undertaking a commissioned project, “Wild Girl” created by South Australian composer Callie Wood.

In 2017 they released their first CD; Joyful Girl.

In 2018 they have helped raise money for Cancer Council through the Mother’s Day Classic and the Leukemia Foundation through Light the Night. In 2018 they were members of the Lead Chorus for Brink Theatre Company’s World Premiere season of Memorial at the Adelaide Festival, performed in their first Feast Festival and will join Adelaide Chamber Singers and the ASO for Bernstein Chichester Psalms and Beethoven Ninth Symphony, and Peter Combe for Christmas.

In 2019 Aurora were part of the ASO’s Gala Launch concert singing the women’s vocal ensemble part for Holst’s The Planets, have been engaged to perform film score music in the Adelaide Festival’s 2019 season and were guest artists at the Desert Song Festival on Mparntwe Country, Alice Springs.

In 2020 Aurora started creating The Pulse with Gravity & Other Myths, with the debut at Adelaide Festival 2021. Aurora travelled to Darwin Festival in 2021 and Sydney Festival in 2022 to perform the show.

At Desert Song Festival in 2019 Aurora collaborated with Netanela Mizrahi and Guwanbal Gurruwiwi to sing music under ‘The Djari Project’. Early 2020 Aurora were able to record the music before the world shut down! This resulted in a wonderful record, and in 2021 at Darwin Festival Aurora finally had the opportunity to perform The Djari Project with the full band, celebrating the release of The Djari Project’s CD. This album was one of ABC Classic’s feature albums for NAIDOC Week in 2022.

Aurora opened Adelaide Festival 2022 with MACRO, alongside Gravity & Other Myths, Djuki Mala, and Yellaka. MACRO celebrated and explored the spirit of place.
