Comprising of choristers from Reception to Year 2, the Junior Choir focuses on learning the basic elements of music (pitch, beat and rhythm) through songs, games, stories, rhymes and musical activities.
We aim to strengthen our singing voices and to sing with excellent diction. More often than not we are also moving to the music with choreography. Stagecraft, concert manners and being ‘professional’ in our performances are all part of the process of becoming excellent choristers enjoying a life-long love of singing, entertaining and performing.
The Junior Choir performs in our two major combined concerts throughout the year plus occasional additional gigs.
Above all, we aim to have FUN and thoroughly enjoy the process of music-making!
We have featured in many exciting public performances including Paul Rissman’s “What Do You Do With An Idea?” with the ASO, Norwood Christmas Pageant, Adelaide Arts Festival “Something on Saturday” and Adelaide Sings with the Australian National Choral Association ANCA (SA chapter), Art Gallery gigs and more.
Regardless of size, your support is vital in allowing us to continue our music making and excellence into the future.
