Aidan Foyel

Aidan Foyel

Aidan is a singer and vocal teacher at numerous private and independent schools. He has been teaching primary and secondary students for the past 5 years, as well as being Young Adelaide Voices’ Vocal Mentor from 2018-2021.

Aidan graduated from the Elder Conservatorium of Music specialising in Classical Voice, whilst also gaining performing experience in the Barbershop, Jazz and Musical Theatre genres.

He is heavily involved in several local and interstate choirs, including Adelaide Chamber Singers, Adelaide Hills Chamber Choir, Festival Statesmen Chorus (as a 1 time National Barbershop Champion and 2 time Australian Acapella Champions) and the National Youth Choir of Australia (3 consecutive seasons).

He has also had the pleasure of performing with Adele as a backing singer for her Adelaide leg of her Australian tour and as a backing singer for Rob Mills.

Aidan is a passionate and dedicated vocal teacher, whose passion is strengthening a students technical and performance skills. His empathetic nature and versatility of teaching different genres allows students greater flexibility and confidence in exploring and navigating their way through an ever-changing voice. Aidan also has successfully prepared students for achieving high results in AMEB and ABRSM exams, as well as preparing for local and interstate auditions in the Classical and Musical Theatre genres.

Through his years of singing, Aidan has found the importance of nurturing the connection of the human voice with others in choral singing. He believes that the Male Vocal Group is a place for the young men to grow in confidence, explore what their voices can do and most importantly- enjoy singing in a safe and welcoming environment- with the occasional (or more) laugh!

In his spare time, Aidan enjoys playing and watching tennis, sneaking in a video game and building his repertoire of incredibly bad puns/dad jokes.
